Don’t Be Ashamed To Pray In The Name Of Jesus

Pray

Many Christians (even in church) close their prayers with things like “In your Son’s Name,” “In your Name,” or they just say “Amen.” The Bible commands us to pray in the Name of Jesus!

We can only access the Father by praying in the Name of Jesus

John 16:23 “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

We only receive what we ask God for, if we pray in the Name of Jesus

John 16:24 “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

If we want God to hear and answer our prayers, then we must pray in the Name of Jesus, like Jesus commands us too! You can also add Christ to it. I usually close my prayers by saying “In Christ Jesus Name Amen.”

Note: Language translations are allowed. Some people believe they are not. Some people believe you can only call Jesus by the Hebrew pronunciation of “Yeshua.” God is the One who confused the language at Babel, and nowhere in the Bible does God forbid translating any of His Names into other languages. My point is we are to pray in God the Son’s actual Name however it is pronounced in the language we are praying in.

A Numerical Portrayal of the Gospel

calculator

I like math and I was playing around with a calculator the other day and put in the square root of 10. Rounded to 2 decimal places the square root of 10 is 3.16.

10 is the Biblical number for law

There are 10 commandments.

3.16 points to John 3:16

John 3:16 is often referred to as the Gospel in a nutshell.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The law points us to Jesus

Galatians 3:24 “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.”

Just like the the number 10 points us to its root of 3.16. The law points us to Jesus.

Jesus is the end of the law

Romans 10:4 “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.”

Galatians 3:24-25 “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.”

Matthew 12:8 “For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.”

Galatians 5:18 “But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”

This does not mean that we can go sin all we want too and still go to heaven!

It says if we are led by the Spirit we are not under the law.

If someone is led by the Spirit then they will fulfil the whole law by loving God and loving others.

Matthew 22:37-40 ” Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

1 Corinthians 6:10 “Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

Even Nature Shows God Exists

Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

God’s hand is clearly seen through all His creation. From the complex biological components of the human eye to the various mathematical functions and scientific laws that governs the universe.

Even the word universe means “a single spoken sentence. And God said “Let there be…”

How a person can study the complex and orderly laws of math and science and believe that the sprang from disorder and chance, is beyond me.

The Bible says Atheists are willingly ignorant.

2 Peter 3:3-7 “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”

They know better, they just don’t want to admit it, because then they would have to submit to God.

John 3:19-20 “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.”
