1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
This is not confession for salvation, but to escape chastisement.
John wrote this to Christians, not lost people. He even included himself in verse 8 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
John made it plain here that even though he was saved he still had sin that he needed to confess to God and be cleansed of at times.
What does it mean to confess your sins?
The word confess in 1 John 1:9 means to to assent, that is, covenant, acknowledge, and it means to promise (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible with Greek and Hebrew dictionaries # 3670 in the Greek). Furthermore it roots back to another word meaning to remove and work (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible with Greek and Hebrew dictionaries # 3670 in the Greek).
Therefore, confessing your sins means that you acknowledge that you have sinned and you promise God that you will work to not do the sin again.
Confession includes true repentance. It is not asking forgiveness, and then going and doing the sin again and then asking forgiveness again. That kind of confession does not cleanse you from sin.
You must promise God that you will work to stop doing the sin. Yes, the Holy Spirit helps us to overcome sin, but it still takes effort on our part too.
If we judge ourselves then God will not judge us.
1 Corinthians 11:31-32 “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.” But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.”
1 John 1:9 is instructions for Christians on how to cleanse themselves from sin by confession (repentance) on a regular bases so that God does not chastise them. It is not instructions for lost people to escape hell.
The Bible says in 1 John 5:8 “And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”
This verse says that not only the Holy Spirit, but also the water and the blood that flowed out of Jesus’s side bear witness in earth That Jesus is God and that He died for us.
Let’s look at each of these:
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is in earth reproving people of sin and convincing of the gospel, indwelling the saved, and assuring the saved.
John 16:7 -8 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:”
1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God
Water
Water never goes away it just gets recycled. The water that flowed out of Jesus’s side is still in the earth somewhere.
Blood
The blood of Jesus has been found in Jerusalem. Ron Wyatt found the Ark of the Covenant in a cave in Jerusalem and on the Mercy Seat there was a dried reddish powder. He had it analyzed and found that it was blood that was not rotted at all, it was just dried out.
The scientist that was analyzing the blood was shocked and said the blood was still alive, and asked Ron Wyatt where he had gotten it. He told him he had gotten it off of the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant that he found in a cave in Jerusalem.
Jesus blood was not tainted by sin, therefore it can never rot, and it can never die. They also found that the blood only had 24 chromosomes.23 from its mother, but only one Y chromosome. And the Y chromosome was found to be from a non-human male. That Y Chromosome came from God.
You cannot get chromosomes from dead blood, this blood was still alive after 2,000 years.
Now, it is true that Jesus did take some of His blood and sprinkle it on the Mercy Seat in Heaven, and that is the one that atones for our sins.
Hebrews 9:11-12 “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”
However, many times God has things in earth that are pictures of the things in heaven. The whole Tabernacle, mercy seat, candle stick, etc were all exact replications of what is in heaven.
Therefore, it makes sense that Jesus would cause His blood to be put on the Mercy Seat in Heaven, and the Mercy Seat in earth.
Plus the Bible does say in 1 John 5:8 “And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”
Here are some videos that give more details concerning the discovery of the blood of Jesus:
Note: Ron Wyatt was a Seventh Day Adventist and says in these videos that a person must keep all 10 commandments in order to be saved. That is not true. However, it is true that a person cannot keep the 10 commandments without being saved, because the 1st commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Therefore, a person must first get saved in order to keep the first commandment.
And if you break 1 commandment, you are guilty of breaking all of them.
James 2:10 “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
Therefore, a person cannot truly keep the 10 commandments without being saved.
Also, Jesus is now our Sabbath, so we do not have to keep the Sabbath by keeping a day holy. We can keep the Sabbath just by keeping our lives holy through obeying Jesus.
Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Hebrews 4:9-10 “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.”
Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.“
Therefore, I do not fully agree with all of his doctrines, but there is evidence that his discovery of the blood of Jesus is true.
Note: The video below will play jus fine. It just does not always show a cover picture.
The Bible says in 2 Peter 1: 5-11 “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.“
Therefore, if faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity abound in you, you will receive an abundant entrance (Hero’s welcome into heaven.
Now we will look at each one of these attributes individually:
Faith
Faith is trusting God that He will do what He says, before He does it.
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith of course is the first thing you need, because you cannot even get saved without faith.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
You cannot even began to please God without Faith.
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
We must have faith that God will save us and answer our prayers if we diligently seek Him. Meaning we must be fully committed and obedient to Him. We cannot just cry out to Him when we are in trouble, and then forget about Him the rest of the time.
Virtue
Virtue is courage and an outward showing of our faith.
To have virtue means that you have enough faith to stand alone for God against the whole world believing that God will cause you to win against the whole world.
One with God is a majority!
2 Samuel 23:8 “These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.“
2 Samuel 23:9 “And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away: He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.”
It also means that you will stay faithful to God even in the face of death, torture, financial loss, loss of health, and isolation. And not only concerning yourself, but others also.
Matthew 10:39 “He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”
Matthew 10:37 “He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”
I personally have suffered financial loss, loss of health, death, and isolation for Christ. God has now delivered me from all but the isolation. I find isolation the most challenging, but being delivered from the other problems has considerably lightened my burden.
However, I have never backed down. I still preach the same things that got me into trouble in the first place. And I still believe that God will cause me to win.
My life is not my own, and if I left God, where else could I go?
1 Corinthians 6:19-20a “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price:”
John 6:67-69 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Knowledge
You must constantly increase in knowledge of the Bible in order to know more about how to serve Jesus and tell others about Him.
Furthermore, the more we study the Bible the more God approves of us.
2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Temperance
Temperance means that you have self control to keep from falling into sin.
One thing that will help to increase your temperance is to avoid sin.
Proverbs 4:14-15 “Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.”
Proverbs 23:31-33 “Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.”
James 1:14 “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”
If you are suddenly faced with any temptation, take the way of escape. Sometimes you may just have to quickly leave the situation.
1 Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
Patience
We are to be patient with everyone.
1 Thessalonians 5:14 “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.“
Godliness
Godliness is holiness. This means that you consistently do your best to obey God in all things.
We are commanded to be Holy.
Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
1 Peter 1:15-16 “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
If godliness abounds in you, then people do not have to wonder if you are a Christian, they can quickly see that you are, by your actions.
Brotherly Kindness
This means you are kind to other Christians.
Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Romans 12:13 “Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.”
Romans 12:15 “Rejoice with them that do rejoice, andweep with them that weep.”
1 Thessalonians 5:14 “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.”
The feebleminded are those who suffer from things like depression and anxiety.
We are to be patient and comfort these people.
The weak are those who are sick or disabled and cannot work. The word support in that verse actually means to adopt, even to the point of financial responsibility. (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible with Hebrew and Greek dictionaries G4722 which roots back to G2192 which can mean “Go to law” this would be for an adoption or obtaining legal guardianship over a person who cannot take care of themselves.)
And this is not speaking of the church as a whole supporting these people, but individual Christians.
1 Timothy 6:17-19 “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”
Romans 12:16 “Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.”
Charity
Charity is the bond of perfectness. Charity includes everything above and more.
Charity is love in action and it includes you attitude and motives.
You can die for Christ, and give all your goods to the poor and not have charity if your attitude and motives are wrong.
1 Corinthians 13: 1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8a Charity never faileth:”
To have true charity you must be:
Patient
Kind
Not Envious of what others have
Humble
Not rude or inconsiderate
Seek to help others not just enrich yourself
Not have a short temper
Have no evil thoughts
Have no pleasure in sin, but in the truth
Bear all burdens – Not run away from responsibility
Believe everything the Bible says, and believe everything else that people tell them that does not contradict the Bible and is proven right.
Have a steadfast hope that all of God’s promises for deliverance will come to pass
Endure all trouble and stay faithful to Christ till death
Therefore, if you focus on abounding in these things: faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity, you will receive an abundant entrance (Hero’s welcome into heaven.)
Everyone always wants to know who the Anti Christ is, but the first question we need to answer is “What is the Anti-Christ”?
What is the Anti Christ?
The Bible says in:
1 John 4:3 “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”
1 John 2:18 “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”
The Anti Christ is an evil spirit that possesses any one he can. Hitler was possessed by him.
The Bible makes it very plain that our true enemies are never people, but the evil spirits who possess them.
Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
The Bible also makes it very plain that God wants ALL people to be saved, ALL people can be saved, and we are to pray that ALL people do get saved.
1 Timothy 2:1-4: 1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
However, we are not to doubt or be wrathful.
1 Timothy 2:8 “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”
When we pray for evil rulers to get saved (including the man possessed by the spirit of Anti-Christ) we are to have full faith and assurance that they will get saved, and not doubt or pray in a spirit of anger, but love.
The Bible teaches that we are fighting spiritual enemies, and we must fight them with spiritual weapons.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
This says we have the power to cast down every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God. That would include the Anti Christ.
Through the Name of Jesus, we have the power to cast and bind the evil spirit of Anti-Christ into hell forever, and lead the man to Christ!
The Spirit of Anti Christ cannot get saved, but any man who he possesses can.
If every person in the world gets saved, then the spirit of Anti-Christ would have no one to possess!
God commands us to pray and believe that everyone will get saved!
1 Timothy 2:8 “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”
Mark 10:27 “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.”
It is God’s will that everyone gets saved, and God promises that if we pray anything according to His will, He will give it to us!
1 John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
Biblical prophecy does not nullify the promises of God!
The Bible says in the New Testament that prophecies shall fail and the word prophecies in that verse can mean scriptual or other! (Strong’s # G4394)
1 Corinthians 13:8a “Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;”
The bad things prophesied in Revelation and Daniel do not have to happen! That is worse case scenario!
There have always been some prophecies dependent upon human action.
God has always told His people that if they obey Him He will bless them, but if they disobey Him then He will curse them!
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.“
Deuteronomy 28:15 “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:”
God never changes!
Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
Why does Daniel 7 say that God allows the Beast to prevail against the saints? When Jesus said that the gates of hell would not prevail against the church in Matthew 16:18? Because they have disobeyed Him! They did not obey 2 Chronicles 7:14! Further, they refused to pray and try to get everyone in the world saved and stop the Beast (as God clearly commands them too in His Word) because they limited God and did not believe that everyone could or would get saved, and they did not believe that they could stop the spirit of the beast either!
Psalms 78:41 “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”
Isaiah 59:1-2 ” Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
Isaiah 50:2a “Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver?”
Now, if we being the saints today, do the opposite of what Daniel 7 shows we would do, then the opposite result would also happen. We have a free will, we do not have to limit God and refuse to believe and obey Him!
The Bible Promises that God will heal the land if His people obey Him!
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Again, biblical prophecies do not nullify the promises of God!
1 Corinthians 13:8a “Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;”
The Bible Prophecies That We Successfully Defeat The Beast Before Christ Comes Back!
The Bible says that the saints take the kingdom in Daniel 7:18 “But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.”
And that all nations of their own free will make themselves subject to Israel and then there would be world peace.
Isaiah 14 1 “For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. 2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors. 3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve, 4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! 5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers. 6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth. 7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.”
There is nothing in Isaiah 14 that suggests that Christ’s kingdom has been set up yet when these things happen.
Jesus has given us the power and command to stop the Anti-Christ, if we neglect that duty because of unbelief, then we will be the least in the kingdom of heaven!
Matthew 5:19 “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so,he shall becalled the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
