God Will Take Care Of You

Trust God

Our Country is in some troubled times, and maybe it is beginning to affect you adversely. As Christians we must remember God’s faithfulness and know that He is able to take care of us no matter what is happening in the world around us.

God will supply your needs.

Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Now if you read the few verses above Philippians 4:19 it shows that God would supply their needs because they gave to the Apostle Paul. So giving to God’s work and others in need is a prerequisite to God supplying our needs.

Philippians 4:15-18 “Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.”

The Bible also says that we will not receive blessings from God if we are covetous.

James 4:3 “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”

God will work everything together for your good.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Now, this “good” here does not necessarily mean that God will work everything out the way we want Him too. but that He will work everything out to make us more like Him.

Read Romans 8:28 and 29 together:

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

You can read more about this in the post “The true Meaning of Romans 8:28.”

Jesus said to pray that God has mercy on us and does not test us through calamity.

Matthew 6:13 “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

The word “temptation” in this verse means to try and roots back to a Greek word meaning to test (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible with Greek and Hrebrew Dictionaries # 3986 and then #3985 both in the Greek.)

The word “evil” in this verse can mean bad, hurtful, or even “figuratively calamitous; also (passively) ill, that is, diseased.” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible with Greek and Hrebrew Dictionaries #4190 in the Greek.)

Therefore, in the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus showed us that we should always pray that the Father has mercy on us and does not test or try our faith by sending us calamity or disease.

Jesus also said to pray we are counted worthy to escape the bad times coming on the earth.

Luke 21:36 “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

If we judge ourselves God will not judge us.

Revelation 3:19 “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”

1 Corinthians 11:32 “But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.”

1 Corinthians 11:31 “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.”

Trust in God not in yourself.

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Proverbs 28:26 “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.”

Be forward looking and prepare for trouble before it hits if it has not hit you yet.

Proverbs 22:3 “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.”

God will give you wisdom if you ask for it.

James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

If you are facing financial problems, ask God for wisdom and He will lead you to the right financial advice.

If you are facing health problems, ask God for wisdom, don’t just believe the doctors, and God will lead you to the health answers you need. You may have to go searching for those answers, like I did. God always lead me to the right treatments and to a doctor that helped, until He finally answered my prayers for healing last October.

If you are facing relationship problems ask God for wisdom and He will lead you to the right solutions.

No problem is too big or too small for God. Whatever problem you are facing ask God for wisdom, and He will lead you to the right solutions.

Another good post to read is “Shelter in the Storm.” It expounds more on some things touched on in this post.

The Anti Christ

Everyone always wants to know who the Anti Christ is, but the first question we need to answer is “What is the Anti-Christ”?

What is the Anti Christ?

The Bible says in:

1 John 4:3 “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”

1 John 2:18 “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”

The Anti Christ is an evil spirit that possesses any one he can. Hitler was possessed by him.

The Bible makes it very plain that our true enemies are never people, but the evil spirits who possess them.

Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

The Bible also makes it very plain that God wants ALL people to be saved, ALL people can be saved, and we are to pray that ALL people do get saved.

1 Timothy 2:1-4:
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

However, we are not to doubt or be wrathful.

1 Timothy 2:8 “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”

When we pray for evil rulers to get saved (including the man possessed by the spirit of Anti-Christ) we are to have full faith and assurance that they will get saved, and not doubt or pray in a spirit of anger, but love.

The Bible teaches that we are fighting spiritual enemies, and we must fight them with spiritual weapons.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

This says we have the power to cast down every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God. That would include the Anti Christ.

Through the Name of Jesus, we have the power to cast and bind the evil spirit of Anti-Christ into hell forever, and lead the man to Christ!

The Spirit of Anti Christ cannot get saved, but any man who he possesses can.

If every person in the world gets saved, then the spirit of Anti-Christ would have no one to possess!

God commands us to pray and believe that everyone will get saved!

1 Timothy 2:1-4:
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

1 Timothy 2:8 “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”

Mark 10:27 “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.”

It is God’s will that everyone gets saved, and God promises that if we pray anything according to His will, He will give it to us!

1 John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

Biblical prophecy does not nullify the promises of God!

The Bible says in the New Testament that prophecies shall fail and the word prophecies in that verse can mean scriptual or other! (Strong’s # G4394)

1 Corinthians 13:8a “Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;”

The bad things prophesied in Revelation and Daniel do not have to happen! That is worse case scenario!

There have always been some prophecies dependent upon human action.

God has always told His people that if they obey Him He will bless them, but if they disobey Him then He will curse them!

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Deuteronomy 28:15 “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:”

God never changes!

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

Why does Daniel 7 say that God allows the Beast to prevail against the saints? When Jesus said that the gates of hell would not prevail against the church in Matthew 16:18? Because they have disobeyed Him! They did not obey 2 Chronicles 7:14! Further, they refused to pray and try to get everyone in the world saved and stop the Beast (as God clearly commands them too in His Word) because they limited God and did not believe that everyone could or would get saved, and they did not believe that they could stop the spirit of the beast either!

Psalms 78:41 “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”

Isaiah 59:1-2 ” Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

Isaiah 50:2a “Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver?”

Now, if we being the saints today, do the opposite of what Daniel 7 shows we would do, then the opposite result would also happen. We have a free will, we do not have to limit God and refuse to believe and obey Him!

The Bible Promises that God will heal the land if His people obey Him!

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Again, biblical prophecies do not nullify the promises of God!

1 Corinthians 13:8a “Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;”

The Bible Prophecies That We Successfully Defeat The Beast Before Christ Comes Back!

The Bible says that the saints take the kingdom in Daniel 7:18 “But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.”

And that all nations of their own free will make themselves subject to Israel and then there would be world peace.

Isaiah 14
1 “For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.”

There is nothing in Isaiah 14 that suggests that Christ’s kingdom has been set up yet when these things happen.

Jesus has given us the power and command to stop the Anti-Christ, if we neglect that duty because of unbelief, then we will be the least in the kingdom of heaven!

Matthew 5:19 “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

Christian Duty

How to Resist the Devil

The Bible says in

Ezekiel 22:30 “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”

We are to fight against evil, so God does not destroy our land.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”

What Is Duty?

Duty is your moral obligations to God and others. It can also include legal obligations to others.

Christians have many duties.

It is true that all Christian duty can be summed up in one verse:

Luke 10:27 “And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.”

However, because of the moral decline of society and the apathy of the church, people are no longer taught what specific duties they have, and therefore they are neglecting them.

The end of Christian Duty is to create a better world for everyone

  1. Seek to bring everyone to Christ

Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

1 Timothy 2:4 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

It is God’s will for everyone to be saved, Therefore, it is possible for everyone to be saved. 1 John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” Also, Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

2. Pray that everyone comes to Christ

1 Timothy 2:1-4 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

3. Seek peace and ensue it

1 Peter 3:10-12 ‘For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.”

Are you praying for your political leaders, or just griping about them?

4. Seek the happiness and prosperity of others above your own

1 Corinthians 10:24 “Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.”

Romans 15:2 “Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.”

Love is sacrificially giving. Not selfish!

5. Seek justice for everyone

Isaiah 56:1 “Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.”

Proverbs 21:3 “To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.”

James 3:17 “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”

1 Timothy 5:21 “I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

Deuteronomy 1:17a “Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: “

Deuteronomy 16:19 “Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.”

Proverbs 24:23 “These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

Proverbs 28:21 “To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.”

Proverbs 24:24 “He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:”

Colossians 3:25 “But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.”

Proverbs 17:26 “Also to punish the just is not good, nor to strike princes for equity.”

James 2:1 “My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.”

James 2:9 “But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

Ezekiel 45:9 “Thus saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.”

God has made all Christians kings! Therefore, all Christians have the sacred duty to God and their fellow man to remove violence and spoil, and to make sure judgment and justice are executed in their Country and the rest of the world!

Revelation 5:10 “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

Malachi 2:7 “For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.”

To give up and neglect your Christian Duty to create a better world because Jesus is coming back soon is the ultimate betrayal of God’s trust, and you are trampling over the blood of Christ!

Jesus died to save the world and make it better!

John 10:10b ” …I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Jesus did not just die to save everyone’s souls! But also to make everyone’s physical lives better! How can we have “abundant life” if our world is full of evil and injustice? Therefore, in order to have the abundant life Jesus died for us to have we must diligently seek to remove evil from our world! If we don’t, then we are disregarding His death!

The Bible indicates that the world being full of evil hinders Christ’s return!

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

The more evil the world is, the more longsuffering God is to wait for Christ’s return, because He wants to give people as much of a chance as possible to repent. Therefore, if the world became Holy, He would come back faster.

Romans 11:14-15 “If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?”

That “life from the dead” is speaking of the rapture! Therefore, if the whole world got saved, and especially Israel, then Jesus would come back faster!

Therefore, if Christians want Jesus to come back faster, then they had better stop being lazy and apathetic, and start doing their DUTY to diligently work and pray for the salvation of Israel and the rest of the world! And start doing their DUTY to diligently work and pray for the removing of evil and injustice in the world!

And Fasting and Praying is essential!

Jesus said one of the best ways to get rid of devils is through fasting and prayer.

Mark 9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

The world is full of devils, who facilitate evil and injustice. Therefore, fasting and prayer is essential to riding the world of evil and injustice. Churches must start calling on their people to fast, and they must start having all night prayer services in order to save the world and make it fit for Christ’s quick return!

Only faithful Christians will rule and reign with Christ.

Matthew 25:23 “His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”

Luke 16:10-12 “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?”

Revelation 2:10 “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Jesus is our King! No king will reward a lazy unfaithful servant to a position of power!

Matthew 25:

24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

The Talent that God hath given to us is the abundance of the Christian life. If we do not seek to multiply that talent by bringing others to Christ, teaching them to observe all things that Christ has commanded us, and thereby removing evil and injustice from the world, then we have hidden our talent! If you shirk your Christian Duty to diligently seek to remove evil and injustice from the world because Jesus is coming back soon, you will not rule and reign with Him!

How To Overcome Besetting Sins

Break Free

When a person truly gets saved the Holy Spirit will keep them from doing really bad sins like murder and adultery (see post “Sins A Saved Person Cannot Fall Into”), but true Christens can still struggle with lesser sins, which the Bible refers to as besetting sins.

Hebrews 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”

These besetting sins can include things like:

Impatience

Having patience towards others is a command.

1 Thessalonians 5:14 “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.”

Impatience shows a lack of love for others.

When struggling with the sin of impatience put yourself in the other persons shoes, and think of how you would want to be treated if you were them.

James 2:8 “If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:”

Also think of how patient Jesus is with you.

John 13:34 “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”

Worry

Worrying shows a lack of faith in God.

When struggling with the sin of worrying remember worrying does not please God.

Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Remember God cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

Remember God seeks your good not harm.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Remember God promises to supply your needs.

Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Remember God cannot lie.

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Complaining

Complaining shows a lack of contentment.

When struggling with the sin of complaining, write down all the blessings God has given you, and then thank God for them.

1 Timothy 6:8 “And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.”

Also remember, Jesus is always with you.

Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

And if you humble yourself to God in hard times, He will deliver you.

1 Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”

Apathy

Apathy is when we do not work for God like we should, and it shows a lack o care for God and for others.

Apathy is when we neglect things like praying, studying the Bible, witnessing to others etc.

The Bible commands us to:

  1. Pray

I Timothy 2:1 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

2. Study The Bible

2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

3. Witness to Others

Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

I see a lot of Christians falling into the sin of apathy right now, because they are discouraged.

The world is evil, and they have lost hope that serving God would do any good, so they are ready to give up on trying to change the world and save it.

2 Timothy 2:1-5 “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”

Even though we are now living in the time where people will not endure sound doctrine, we are still commanded to work for God by witnessing to others, and to make full proof of our ministry.

We are to continue to work for God in these hard last days, because we love God and we want to please Him.

Plus the Church has the power to overcome the world. If all Christians were working and praying to save the world, we could save it! God says it is His will for all to be saved. 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

And He says that anything we ask according to His will He will do it for us. 1 John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

We can save the world, but it is not going to be easy! We must continue working and praying. We cannot give up! The one sure thing that will destroy this world is the Church giving up!

When struggling with the sin of apathy, hold onto God’s promise that His Word will not return void. If you work for God long enough, someone will get saved, although you may never know it until you get to heaven.

Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

Also remember, God does not judge you on results, just on your faithfulness to do the work.

Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Now, this is not a complete list of sins that Christians struggle with, but it is some of the more common ones.

Just remember any sin hurts Christ and we do not want to hurt Him.

Our #1 Priority is to Please God.

Also, if we just focus on always doing our best to love God and others, then it will be easier to overcome these sins.

Don’t dwell on the sin, dwell on the solution for the sin.

If you dwell on not doing the sin you will become discouraged and miserable. If you dwell on the solution you will remain hopeful, which will help you get victory over it.

More Tips for Overcoming Besetting Sins:

Pray that you do not enter into temptation.

Jesus said in Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

If you ask God to help you overcome sins, He will.

Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”

You should also ask Him for wisdom on how to overcome your besetting sin or sins.

James 1:5-7 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”

Take The Way Of Escape

God always give a way of escape for temptation.

1 Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

If you find yourself tempted to complain, or already complaining, immediately stop, pray (ask God to forgive you if you had already sinned), and start thinking God for his blessings.

If you find yourself tempted to be impatient, or you are already being impatient, immediately stop, pray (ask God to forgive you if you had already sinned) ask God to give you peace, and then maybe excuse yourself from the situation for a while if you can. If you can’t leave the situation, ask God for wisdom on how to properly handle the situation in the moment.

If you find yourself tempted to worry or already worrying, immediately, stop, remember how God has delivered you and others in the past, and pray (ask God to forgive you if you had already sinned) asking God to give you peace, thanking Him for His former deliverances, and thanking Him that He will deliver you this time as well.

If you find yourself being tempted to be apathetic or already being apathetic stop, pray (ask God to forgive you if you had already sinned) asking God to give you strength to continue working to save the world, even if you do not see results, and peace that at least some will listen and be saved, and that it is God’s will to save the whole world, so therefore it is Possible!

We will never be completely sinless until we get to heaven, but we should always try our best to not sin, by focusing on loving God with all of our heart, soul, and mind; and loving others as Jesus loves us. This will really help to cut down on our sinning.

What It Means To Watch For Christ’s Return

Jesus Coming In The Clouds
Jesus Coming In The Clouds

The Bible says in Revelation 16:15 “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.”

Your garments become dirty by sin.

Jude 1:23 “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Therefore, we are to watch for Christ’s coming by being diligent to not sin and by quickly repenting wen we do sin.

The Consequences of not watching for Christ’s Return.

Revelation 16:15 “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.”

This mean that if we are committing a sin at Christ’s return, then Jesus will expose our sin to everyone and openly judge us for it. Everyone is going to know about it, we will lose rewards, and we will be ashamed.

Now, the Bible teaches that any sins we have repented of Jesus will not judge us for, nobody will ever know about them, and we will not be ashamed.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 11:31 “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.”

The Bible says in 1 John 4:17 that we can have boldness in the day of judgment.

Boldness is the exact opposite of shame.

Moreover, A true Christian cannot fall into really bad sins like adultery, murder, theft, bearing false witness against someone, drunkeness, or drug addiction, because the Holy Spirit will not allow them to fall that bad. He puts God’s love into our hearts and makes it impossible for us to commit the worst sins. Someone who falls into those kinds of sins has never been saved.

To learn more about this and other really bad sins that the Holy Spirit keeps true Christians from falling into, please go to http://shiningthelightministries.com/2021/05/12/sins-a-saved-person-cannot-fall-into/

However, A true Christian is capable of falling into sins like: impatience, crankiness, apathy, worry, gossip, pride unforgiveness, selfishness, leaving their first love (no longer seeing Jesus as their Dearest Friend. Meaning they are serving Him, but they see it as more of a Master/Servant Relationship instead of truly serving Him out of love like in a Dear Friendship. Revelation 2:4), etc.

For example, if Jesus comes back and you are arguing with your spouse over something that either does not matter or you are in the wrong, then you are not going to have time to repent before judgment. Jesus is going to openly expose that sin and judge you for it, everyone is going to know that you were arguing with your spouse, you are going to lose rewards, and you are going to be openly ashamed.

Therefore, we need to be watching for Christ’s return by being diligent to not sin and by quickly repenting when we do sin, so that we are not ashamed.

Come Out of Her My People!

Break Free

The Bible says in Revelation 18:1-4 “And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

Only saved people are God’s people.

Therefore, the Bible is showing here that some saved people would get mixed up in the cult of Babylon, and suffer through God’s judgment upon her, if they do not leave.

The Roman Catholic Church is the Cult of Babylon.

I will now show you how that the Roman Catholic church is not the true church, but is a counterfeit. And how that its teachings contradict the Bible and agree with ancient Babylonian paganism.

The Bible says Jesus Christ is the Head of the true church not any man, such as the Pope.

Ephesians 1:20-23 “Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

Colossians 1:12-18 “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”

The Bible says that Jesus Christ, the Apostles, and the Old Testament Prophets are the only foundation of the true church not “church tradition” or writings of so called “Church Fathers.”

Ephesians 2:20 “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;”

1 Corinthians 3:11 “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

The Bible is truth, and God’s inspired Word.

Jesus prayed in John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

2 Peter 1:21 “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

The Bible is the only record we have of what Jesus, the Apostles, and the Old Testament Prophets taught.

Therefore, since we must found our faith only upon the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Apostles, and the Old Testament prophets, then we must found our faith only upon what the Bible says, not upon what any man or church tradition says.

The Bible is God’s Word. It was not written by the will of men, but holy men wrote exactly what God told them to write by the Holy Ghost.

2 Peter 1:21 “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

The Bible says to reject heretics after 1 and 2 admonitions.

A heretic is someone who teaches something that contradicts the Bible. The Roman Catholic church teaches many things that contradict the Bible.

Let us look at a few doctrines of the Roman Catholic church that contradict the Bible:

The Catholic Church says that Peter was the first Pope.

First of all, the Bible never says that Peter went to Rome. Even His Epistles were written to the church at Babylon, not the church at Rome.

Furthermore, the Catholic church tries to justify their claim of Peter being the first Pope by twisting Matthew 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

They say that Peter was the rock that Christ built His church on, but the word Peter means a piece of a rock, like a small stone ( Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance with Hebrew and Greek dictionaries # 4074 in the Greek), and the word rock in this verse means a mass of rock like a big boulder (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance with Hebrew and Greek dictionaries # 4073 in the Greek) .

The Bible says Christ built His church upon Himself.

The Bible says that Christ is the chief cornerstone of the church, not Peter.

Ephesians 2:20 “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;”

1 Corinthians 3:11 “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

In addition, Peter was married.

Matthew 8:14 “And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.”

Mark 1:30 “But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.”

The Catholic church says a human priest can forgive sins.

The teaching that a human priest can forgive sins comes from Baal worship, not the Bible.(Hislop, Alexander. 1862. The Two Babylons. 3rd ed. Ontario: Chick Publications. P. 7.)

The Catholic church twists the meaning of the Scripture passage John 20:21-23 “Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.”

However, Jesus did not give the Apostles power to forgive anyone’s sins in order to keep them out of Hell and give them salvation.

Nowhere in the Bible did any of the Apostles forgive anyone’s sins at any time. Even Peter told Simon the sorcerer to repent and pray to God for forgiveness of his sin. Then when Simon the sorcerer asked Peter to pray for him, Peter gave no answer.

Acts 8:9-25 “But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me. And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.”

The belief that religious leaders can forgive sins comes from paganism and traces all the way back to the beginning of Baal worship with Nimrod and Semiriamis  in Babylon.

Simon was a sorcerer, and he showed here that he believed that Peter could pray for him in order for God to forgive him his sins. This is why Peter gave no answer, and apparently just walked away. Because Peter knew that the man had to repent and pray and ask God for forgiveness himself. If Peter had had the power to forgive Simon’s sins, or could have prayed for him for his sins to be forgiven, then Peter would have done one of those things. The Scriptures show that Peter was not even sure that Simon could be forgiven for the grievous sin that he committed. This passage proves more than any other that Peter was never a Pope!

The Bible says Jesus is the only mediator between God and men, not Peter or anyone else.

1 Timothy 2:5” For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”

Furthermore, the Apostle Paul told the Philippian jailer to believe on Jesus in order to be saved. If the Apostle Paul could have forgiven the man’s sins, he would have forgiven them.

Acts 16:27-32 “And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.”

John Calvin taught that Jesus was just giving the Apostles power to preach the Gospel in John 20:21-23. I disagree with him, because I do not see that in that passage. This passage says nothing about preaching, and it actually says that the Apostles had power to retain and remit sins. As I have just explained above it was not to forgive them so they could escape any kind of eternal punishment. So exactly what was Jesus talking about here?

In John 20:21-23 Jesus was speaking of the Apostles and all believers being able to call down or withhold God’s physical judgment in this life against those who would persecute them.

When Stephen was killed, he prayed that God would not hold the sin against his murders.

Acts 7:59-60 “And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.”

Stephan’s dying prayer could have led to the Apostle Paul getting saved, since he was a young man at the time, watched the coats for the men who stoned Stephen, and was consenting to his death. (Acts 7:58-8:1)

Therefore, a prayer for God’s mercy on your persecutors in this life can lead to them repenting and getting saved, but our prayers cannot save them, they themselves must repent and ask God for forgiveness in order to be saved from eternal punishment.

A more modern example of this is William Tyndale.

He was burned at the stake by King Henry the VIII for translating the Bible into English and making it available to the common people in their common language.

When William Tyndale died, he cried out, “Lord, open the King of England’s eyes!” Not long after, God did open King Henry the VIII’s eyes and he allowed the Bible, the very one that Tyndale translated, to be given to the common people. This eventually led to the founding of America, and to the Philadelphian Church Age, wherein were great revivals and awakenings, and millions were saved.

Unfortunately, though King Henry the VIII himself probably died lost and went to hell. I see no evidence in history that he ever truly repented of his sins and trusted in Christ.

So again, no one can forgive another person’s sins, or have another person’s sins forgiven them by praying for them, because each person must repent of their sins, believe in Jesus, and ask God to forgive them themselves. However, our prayers can cause the Holy Spirit to work harder to lead either them, and/or millions of others to salvation later.

In addition, the Apostle Paul struck a man blind for hindering the Gospel, and also prayed that the Lord would judge Alexander the coppersmith.

Acts 13:8-12 “But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him. And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.”

Notice the result of the judgement was that someone got saved. The salvation of souls should be our intent whenever we use the power that God has given us to either withhold His physical judgment or call it down on someone.

2 Timothy 4:14-15 “Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.”

Scripture does not tell us the result of this prayer of judgment, but again, this was another man who was hindering the salvation of others. Paul’s intention was that God would judge Alexander, so more people could be saved.

The Bible says only God can forgive sins.

Luke 5:19 “And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house. And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.”

Jesus is God, so He has power to forgive sins, he healed the man to prove that!

The Catholic church says that you must work to get your sins forgiven.

They say you must do whatever penance a priest tells you to do in order to have your sins forgiven. This could be paying money, saying a bunch of prayers, walking around on your knees, or many other “works.”

This teaching of obedience to a human priest to work for one’s salvation started in Babylon with Baal worship. (Hislop, Alexander. 1862. The Two Babylons. 3rd ed. Ontario: Chick Publications. P. 7.)

Repentance is not the same thing as penance. Repentance is a change of your heart from wanting to sin to wanting to obey God. This is an immediate change of your heart (meaning desire and will). It means that you yield (submit) your will to God’s will.

That is repentance of sins, and it is required for you to receive forgiveness of your sins.

Luke 13:5 “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

Ezekiel 18:23 “Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?”

Ezekiel 18:23 agrees with 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

In addition, Matthew 9:13 says “But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Also, look at Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

The word “believe” in Romans 10:9 in the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance roots backwards twice to a word, which means “obey” (the word believe is Strong’s # 4100 in the Greek, which comes from # 4102, which comes from # 3982, which means obey and also yield). This shows that true faith is rooted in obedience.

Therefore, in order to fulfill the requirements of salvation in Romans 10:9 you must be fully persuaded in your mind of who Jesus Christ is and what He has done, and your heart must change from wanting to sin to wanting to obey God. As I said above, this is an immediate change of your heart (meaning desire and will). It means that you yield (submit) your will to God’s will.

Your actions may not change immediately, but you are going to be so convicted over your sin, when you mess up, that you are going to cry out to God to help you to change.

This is repentance, and it has nothing to do with penance.

The Bible says we are forgiven of our sins by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that salvation is a free gift.

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 1:17 “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”

Galatians 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.”

Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

The Catholic church says to pray to Saints and Mary.

They say that you will be more likely to get your prayers answered if you pray to Mary and certain saints, and have them intercede for you. The idea of praying to dead humans is also deeply rooted in paganism.

Plus, the Bible says all saved people are saints, not just certain dead ones.

1 Corinthians 1:2 “Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their’s and our’s:”

Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

The Bible says to pray to God alone, and that Jesus is our only mediator.”

Matthew 6:6 “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”

1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”

None of the Apostles ever prayed to anyone but God, and they never said to pray to anyone but God.

The Bible also says to pray for living saints, it does not say to pray to dead ones.

Ephesians 6:18 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”

We are not to pray for dead saints, because after death is judgment. There is nothing that we can pray or do to make their eternity better for them, and it is too late for them to repent anymore.

Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

The Catholic church says that people go to purgatory to pay for their sins, and that other people must pay money to get them out early.

This is nothing but a money scam. They enslave the souls of people to increase their own wealth.

The Bible says that saved people immediately go to heaven to be with Jesus, and lost people immediately go to hell.

Luke 16:22-26 “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.”

2 Corinthians 5: 6-8 “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

And as I said before, once someone dies nothing can be done to make their eternity better for them. It is too late for them to repent anymore, because after death is judgment.

The Catholic church says to bow down to idols.

The Catholic church says to bow down to idols that they say are Mary, Jesus, and saints. This is blatantly pagan. We do not know what Mary and Jesus even looked like. Those are actually idols of Semiramis, Baal, and Tamuz. The Catholic church just changed their names. (Hislop, Alexander. 1862. The Two Babylons. 3rd ed. Ontario: Chick Publications.)

The Bible says not to bow down to idols.

Exodus 20:4-5 “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;”

The Catholic church says that the Pope is infallible.

The teaching that the Pope is infallible in his teachings and morals became part of Catholic dogma in Vatican 1 Council. The idea that religious leaders are infallible in their teachings started with Baal worship in Babylon. (Hislop, Alexander. 1862. The Two Babylons. 3rd ed. Ontario: Chick Publications. P. 7.)

The Bible says all humans are sinners.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

In addition, none of the Apostles ever claimed any infallibility. The Bible praises the Bereans for making sure that the teachings of the Apostles agreed with what the Old Testament Prophets said would come to pass. The Bible must be our final authority for all doctrine and life!

Acts 17:10-11 “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

The Bible says that religious leaders who sin are to be rebuked openly.

1 Timothy 5;19-20 “Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.”

The Bible does not exclude any elders from this open rebuke for sin. Peter himself was openly rebuked by Paul.

Galatians 2:11-14“But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?”

The Catholic church says Mary is Co-Redeemer with Christ.

They say that Mary has to intercede for people in order for Christ to forgive them of their sins.

This is nothing more than a “Christian face” put on the pagan teachings of Baal worship. In Babylon, Semiramis commanded people to worship her son Tamuz as a god, and she herself claimed to be a goddess and the mediator between the people and her son. (Hislop, Alexander. 1862. The Two Babylons. 3rd ed. Ontario: Chick Publications. P. 5.)

The Bible says that Jesus is our only Savior and mediator.

Acts 4:10-12 “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”

The Catholic church forbids certain people like priests and nuns to marry.

This pagan religious discipline can be traced all the way back to Semiramis and Nimrod the founders of Baal worship in Babylon. (Hislop, Alexander. 1862. The Two Babylons. 3rd ed. Ontario: Chick Publications. 219-220.)

The Catholic church first officially enforced this rule at the Second Lateran Council held in 1139.

The Bible teaches that the church is not to forbid to marry.

1 Timothy 4:1-3 “ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”

The Catholic church changed the Lord’s Supper into the Mass and says that it actually turns into the body and blood of Jesus.

The Catholic church first made the sacrament of the Mass a doctrine in 394 AD. Below is what was said about it at the Council of Trent in 1563 and then it was Ratified at the Vatican II Council in 1963:

“If any one shall deny that the body and blood, together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore entire Christ, are truly, really and substantially contained in the sacrament of the most Holy Eucharist; and say that He is only in it as a sign, or in a figure-let him be accursed! (Damned)” This doctrine is still in effect in the Catholic Church today.

This practice of “turning a god into a piece of bread” comes from Baal worship and ancient Egyptian paganism! Not the Bible! (Hislop, Alexander. 1862. The Two Babylons. 3rd ed. Ontario: Chick Publications. 156-164.)

The Bible says the Lord’s supper is only a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross.

Luke 22:19 “And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.”

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 “For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.”

As you can see, the core doctrines of the Roman Catholic church are in direct contradiction of the Bible! Therefore, the doctrines of the Roman Catholic church are heresies, and the Roman Catholic church is a heretic cult! Not a true Church of Jesus Christ!

The Roman Catholic church has been admonished for these heresies over and over again by men like, Peter Waldo, John Huss, John Wycliff, Martin Luther, John Calvin, and many millions more, but instead of repenting, they persecuted and killed many of them.

The Roman Catholic church is a heretic cult that has been admonished, but has refused to repent! Therefore, you must reject her and obey God’s calling to you:

Come Out of her my people!

For, if you refuse to denounce Rome and come out of her, God will punish you with her in the Great Tribulation!

Revelation 18:1-4 “And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

Revelation 2:20 “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”

The eating of “things sacrificed unto idols” mentioned here is specifically speaking of the Mass.

The Roman Catholic Church is the Cult of Babylon, its teachings agree with the paganism of Babylon not with the Bible.

In addition, the Bible specifically speaks of the Roman Catholic Church and describes it as a “Great Whore” in Revelation 17.

Revelation 17:

1 “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”

The Bible says this woman sits on seven mountains.

Revelation 17:9 “And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.” The word mountains in this verse can mean hills (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance with Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries # 3735 in the Greek).

Rome is built on seven hills.

These seven hills are called Aventine, Caelian, Capitoline, Esquiline, Palatine, Quirinal and Viminal. The Servian Wall was built around them as a defense in the 300s B.C. Then these seven hills became the seven hills of Rome. Therefore, Rome is called “the city on 7 hills.”

Now it is true that Vatican Hill is not one of the 7 hills of Rome. However, in 313 AD, Constantine gave the Lateran Palace on Caelian Hill to the Bishop of Rome. Caelian Hill, which is one of the seven hills of Rome, then became and still remains, the ecclesiastical seat of the Bishop of Rome, who is the Pope.

Furthermore, in 324 AD, the first basilica was built on Caelian Hill, now called “St. John Lateran.” In it is a throne called the cathedra, which is a seat, a chair with arms for the pope. Therefore, the Pope himself does sit on one of the seven Hills of Rome.

The Bible says this woman is clothed in purple, scarlet, and gold.

Revelation 17:4a “And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls…”

The Pope and other officials of the Catholic church wear purple, scarlet, and gold.

On February 15th, 44 BC, Julius Caesar wore a luxurious purple and gold robe to the feast of Pan, called Lupercalia.

After this, all Caesars started wearing that costly purple, and scarlet and gold as a symbol of royalty.

This continued right down into Roman Catholic clergy, becoming commonplace in 500 AD.

The Bible says this woman declares herself to be “Mother.”

Revelation 17:5 “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

The Catholic church declares herself to be the “Mother” church.

In 251 AD, Cyprian of Carthage declared in De Unitate Ecclesiae (“The Unity of the Church”), “He cannot have God for his Father who has not the Church for his mother.”

After this, the Roman Catholic church started calling itself “Mother Church.”

In addition, in 431 AD at the Council of Ephesus, where they once cried for two hours,

“Great is Diana of the Ephesians,” Acts 19:34, they now exalted Mary as the theotokos the bearer of God, the mother of God.

And often, becoming Roman Catholic is said to be “coming home to mother church” or “coming home to Mary.”

In Revelation 18:7 the whore of Babylon says, “I sit a queen.” Is it any coincidence that the Catholic Mary is also called “The Queen of Heaven”? Her Seat is on One of the Seven Mountains.

Revelation 17:9 “And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.”

The Bible says this Woman is “Drunk with the blood of the saints.”

Revelation 17:6a “And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus…”

The Roman Catholic Church has killed millions of Christians.

In 1184 AD the Synod of Verona says you can burn heretics at the stake, and in 1215 AD starting at the 4th Lateran Council the Inquisition was formed.

After that, does anyone really want to dispute the millions of victims, tortured and killed in the name of the pope, the Mary goddess, and the Eucharist wafer?

Even if the killings weren’t done at Rome, Roman Catholicism was responsible.

Truly, she was power-mad, “drunk with the blood of the saints.”

Revelation 18:24 “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.”

To this very day the Jesuits still take an oath to kill all heritics. (Meaning those wh do not agree with them.)

Here is the Jesuit oath that the Jesuits still bind themselves to today:

“ I   now   in   the   presence   of   the   Almighty   God,   the   blessed   virgin  Mary,   the   blessed   Michael   the   Archangel,   the   blessed   St.   John  the   Baptist   .   .   •   and   my   ghostly   father,  the   superior   general  of   the   Society   of   Jesus,   founded   by   St.   Ignatius   Loyola,  do   by   the   womb   of   the   Virgin   •   .   .   swear   that   His   Holiness   the   Pope  is   Christ’s   vice-regent,   and   is   the   true   and   only   Head   of   the  Catholic   or   Universal   Church   …   I   do   now   renounce   and   dis   own   any   allegiance   is   due   to   any   heretical   King,   Prince,   or  State,   named   Protestant   or   Liberal,   or   obedience   to   any   of   their  laws   or   magistrates,   or   officers.   I   do   further   declare   the   doctrine   of   the   Church   of   England,   and   Scotland,   and   of   Calvanists,  Huguenots,   and   others   of   the   name   of   Protestant   or   Liberal,   to  be   damnable,   and   themselves   to   be   damned,   who   will   not   forsake  the   same-   I do   further   promise   and   declare   that,   notwithstanding   I am   dispensed   with,   to   assume   my   religion   heretical   for   the  propagation   of   Mother   Church’s   interest,   to   keep   secret   and  private   all   her   agents,   counsels,   from  time   to   time,   as   they   interest   me,   and   not   divulge   directly   or   indirectly   by   word,   writing, or   circumstances   whatever.   I   do   furthermore   promise   and  declare   that   I   will,   when   opportunity   presents,   make   and   wage  relentless   war   secretly   or   openly,   against   all   heretics,   Protestants,  and   Liberals,   as   I   am   directed   to;   extirpate   them   from   the   face  of   the   earth;   and   that   I   will   spare   neither   age,   sex,   or   condition,  and   that   I   will   hang,   burn,   waste,   boil,   flay,   strangle   and   bury  alive   those   infamous   heretics;   rip   up   the   stomachs   and   wombs  of   the   women,   and   crush   their   infants’   heads   against   the   walls  in   order   to   annihilate   their   inexorable   race.   That   when   the  same   cannot   be   done   openly,   I   will   secretly   use   the   poisonous  cup,   the   strangulating   cords,   the   steels   of   the   poinard,   or   the  leaden   bullets,   regardless   of   the   honour,   rank,   dignity,   or  authority   of   the   persons,   whatever   may   be   their   condition   in   life,  either   public   or   private,   as   I   at   any   time   may   be   directed   to   by  any   agent   of   the   Pope,   or   the   superior   of   the   Holy   Father   of  the   Society   of   Jesus.   In   confirmation   of   which   I   hereby   dedicate  my   life,   my   soul,   and   my   corporeal   powers;   and   with   this   dagger,  which   I   now   receive,   I   will   subscribe   my   name   written   in   my  blood   in   testimony   thereof;   and   should   I   prove   false,   or   weaken  in   my   determination   may   my   brethren   and   fellow-soldiers   of   the  militia   of   the   Pope,   cut   off   my   hands   and   my   feet,   and   my   throat  from   ear   to   ear,   rip   my   belly   open,   and   sulphur   burn   therein, and   all   the   punishments   that   can   be   inflicted   on   me   on   earth, and   my   soul   be   tortured   by   demons   in   an   eternal   hell   for   ever.  In   testimony   thereof   I   take   this   most   holy   and   blessed   sacrament  of   the   Eucharist,   and   witness   the   same   further   with   my   name written   with   the   point   of   this   dagger,   dipped   in   my   own   blood,  and   sealed   in   the   face   of   the   holy   covenant . The current Pope is a Jesuit.

As you can see the Jesuits are a very militant group just like Jihad, and they should be banned from America as terrorists just like Jihad was. For more information about the Jesuits, please read the book “The Secret History of the Jesuits” by Francois-Edmond Paris.

The Roman Catholic church is truly drunk with the blood of the saints.

The Bilbe says this woman is a city that reigns over the kings of the earth.

Revelation 17:18 “And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”

The Catholic church claims authority over all world leaders.

In Unam Sanctam, 1302, Pope Boniface VIII created the ex cathedra doctrine. He declared “…in this Church and in its power are two swords; namely, the spiritual and the temporal…. Both, therefore, are in the power of the Church…” “Temporal” meaning human government.

Then he said the church was the highest power of all, and: “…if the highest power of all err, it can be judged only by God, and not by man…”

What he’s saying is that the Pope has authority over all the governments of the world, and is accountable to God only.

On February 11, 1929, the signing of the Lateran Accords, made Vatican City a sovereign city-state.

Making it both a city and a country, with its ruler, the Bishop of Rome, the Pope.

And since it is both a religious body and has a single ruler, it is called an “sacerdotal-monarchical” city.

Since 1929, most countries of the world have come to the Vatican to have a “private audience” with the pope.

And Rome, has sent her own ambassadors to most of the nations of the world.

Can anyone deny the massive influence of Rome in world politics?

Think about this.

If the government does not please the Pope, the Pope can tell all of his followers not to obey that government. And a government does not work without the people.

Therefore, world leaders listen to the Pope.

And that is to say nothing about the centuries of the not so “Holy Roman Empire,” and all the kings who either gained power or lost it, because of the Pope’s word.

And now, since 1929, Rome is both a city and a country.

The Bible says that kings have committed fornication with this woman.

Revelation 18:3 “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her,”

World leaders respect, meet with, and listen to the Pope in order to keep their positions.

As I said above, if a government does not do what the Pope says too, then the Pope can order all Catholics not to support that government, and that government then suffers from Rome’s wrath.

This happened in both World Wars. (Read the Book the secret History of the Jesuits by Francois-Edmond Paris).

So, world leaders seek to appease the Pope. The Bible calls this fornication, because Rome is a false religion, and it’s so called “political power” is illegitimate.

Furthermore, many nations throughout history have made nice with the Roman Catholic church, and then allowed her to pour out her wrath on the Christians in their Nations who obey the Bible instead of the Pope (The Inquisition).

After all, the only people going against the Roman Catholic church are those who obey the Bible instead of the Pope.

Pope Francis I has said that the only people who are causing the troubles of the world are fundamentalists, meaning Bible-believers.

The Bible says this woman has Incredible wealth and trades with the nations.

Revelation 18:3 “…the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.”

The Catholic church is very wealthy and sells her religious items all over the world.

All of the Catholic church’s religious items such as Crucifixes, idols, prayer beads vestments etc,. are made out of the meterials that the Bible says Babylon gets rich off of: ivory, precious woods, stones, gold and silver.

That’s what Rome sells… … and also,”the souls of men,”

Revelation 18:13 “And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.”

As I said earlier Rome makes most of its wealth off the backs of poor people, by lying to them and telling them they have to pay money to get their loved ones out of Purgatory (which does not even exist), or to keep themselves out of Purgatory. This is a very cruel and oppressive scam! I mean, think about these people. Their souls are very valuable, to God. The precious Roman Catholics need the True Word of God , which offers peace and freedom, not fear and slavery.

I have just shown you many things in Revelation 17 and 18, that are clearly true about the Roman Catholic church. I put them in both chronological and historical order. You can research each one of them yourself.

Is there anybody else who fulfills all of these things?

God knew the Roman Catholic church would do all of this, and so He warned us in Revelation chapters 17 and 18 before it came to pass.

He revealed to us in His Word what we should look for so that we would not be deceived and enslaved by a false religion.

By the way, what is the one Bible that the Roman Catholic church hates above all others? The King James Bible. Quite an endorsement, isn’t it?

As you can see, the Roman Catholic church is not the true church, it has never been the true church, it has always been a counterfeit. Its teachings are not based upon the Bible, but upon ancient pagan rituals. It is not a religion that offers freedom and peace as the true Gospel of Jesus Christ found in the Bible. It is a cult that enslaves its people and controls them through fear!

Now it is time to take heed to the voice of God calling to you:

Come Out of Her My People!
